Our history goes back well before 1989, the year Consystem was founded. Its origins actually date back to 1970, when Sprague Electric Co. opened its Italian branch, Sprague Italiana, marking the start of a journey in the world of electronics destined to evolve over time.

In 1976, Sprague Italiana was acquired by the Italian-Swiss group Carlo Gavazzi, giving rise to Carlo Gavazzi Componenti and progressively strengthening its market presence through the integration of new brands and expertise.

A key turning point came in 1999, when management carried out a management buy-out, acquiring CeFrA’s shares within the Carlo Gavazzi group. This moment marked the beginning of a new entrepreneurial phase, characterised by growth, development and consolidation.

In 2009, CeFrA was merged into Consystem S.r.l., founded in 1989. This gave rise to an even stronger, more structured organisation, able to open up to new markets, expand its portfolio and reinforce its commitment to technologically advanced solutions.

Today, Consystem can draw on over 45 years of experience in the electronic components sector. A journey built on continuity, constant improvement and a concrete focus on technological innovation, to meet the needs of an ever-evolving market.
