Capacitor Module: CBB 135
CONSYSTEM introduces in “preview” on the Italian market the new polypropylene film capacitor module CBB 135 DV by Jianghai.
The Chinese company, the world’s third-largest film capacitor manufacturer, created the module to guarantee a high operating voltage (450V 〜 3000Vdc), combined with a high capability to handle high modulated currents. The CBB 135 DV allows the parallel connection of 2 or 3 IGBT modules and the +/- connection of the bus-bar (usable in both single-phase and three-phase applications, even in a single module). The capacitor has an extremely wide capacitance “range” (from 100〜 10,000 μF K±10%, or J±5%), thanks to its structure featuring multiple “inner cells” based on polypropylene film DC-LINK capacitors.
The module operates in an ambient temperature range between -40°C 〜 +105°C.
Another “standout” feature of the capacitor is its lifespan, with an expected lifetime of over 100,000 h @ 70°C. The plastic housing, filled with flame-retardant resin, ensures safety in accordance with the various IEC 61071:2007, REACH and RoHS standards. The capacitor also has “self-healing” characteristics (self-regeneration and self-protection of the polymers) and mechanical terminals to ensure stability. The module offers high flexibility in meeting customer specifications (no development costs required).
All these features make the CB135 DV capacitor an ideal solution for both industrial and automotive applications (hybrid vehicles), as the production plant is ISO 16949 certified.
