Nowadays, having an efficient and reliable video surveillance system is a matter of primary importance, especially one capable of identifying and reporting real dangers.
RADAR sensors and modules, leveraging radar technology, are ideal solutions for alarm systems, video surveillance installations, and anti-intrusion systems, offering high sensitivity and the ability to measure movement, speed, direction, presence and even angle.
These sensors make it possible to identify and distinguish false alarms from real threats, even in adverse environmental and weather conditions (such as rain, fog, darkness… and other extreme conditions).
Radar sensors and modules can be easily and invisibly integrated behind a wide range of materials, while also solving privacy-related issues (they perform anonymous monitoring), making them concrete solutions to combine with various video surveillance systems.
Furthermore, radar systems are a smart technology: they are sophisticated and offer a variety of functions. Smart signal processing makes it possible to track objects through data clustering. These systems distinguish between objects and assign them to specific categories such as person or vehicle. Irrelevant detected objects, such as a wild animal running by, are filtered out by the technology. The sensors can also learn during the “filtering” process: if the filter function, for example, classifies a fox, it will exclude objects with similar properties in the future (if desired). Based on the information from the localization algorithm, radar systems can trigger an alarm, for example, or control a connected camera.
The iSYS-5020 is an effective radar system specifically developed for security technology manufacturers, as a complement to video surveillance for improving the perimeter protection of industrial plants, power stations, photovoltaic plants, ports, airports and, in general, large critical infrastructure (offering coverage of 13,000 m2).
