Powertip Technology Corporation, market leader in display manufacturing, announces the introduction of Smart displays based on NXP’s ARM926EJ-S and STM32 processors. In a constantly growing market that requires fast, easily applicable/adaptable solutions, the challenge of embedded system design is to guarantee greater flexibility and reliability in order to meet customers’ varied needs. For this reason, Powertip provides a motherboard based on ARM or STM32 MPU and MCU to meet the customer’s integrated applications and reduce development times. This separates the design phase, which is the best way to reduce product development/time-to-market.

Furthermore, based on Powertip’s built-in GUI (Graphic User Interface) platform, users can focus on developing and integrating higher-level software applications. If the customer needs modifications or customizations, Powertip also provides a hardware and software customization service.

Powertip Smart displays: technical features

The range of available solutions includes displays from 3.5” to 10.1”, all with a multitouch Capacitive Touch Panel and equipped with 64MB DDR2 RAM (ARM) or 16MB SDRAM (STM32), Flash starting from 16MB SPI up to 4GB eMMC, PWM, hardware video decoding capability, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, uSD interfaces and up to 10 GPIO, along with available RGB, LVDS and MIPI-DSI display interfaces and Linux and Android operating systems. A Board Support Package (BSP) is offered as a free download to allow our customers to build their own root file system, which will help speed up embedded system development for HMI solutions according to different needs. Customers can develop applications using the Qt library or a variety of Python libraries for embedded systems.
